STEM Program
STEM education is a term used to refer to structured enquiry-based and real world problem-based learning that connects the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM is appealing to students’ interests because it connects them to the real world, improving their ability to problem solve and critically analyse.
At Victoria Park Christian School, STEM education begins with our Pre-Primary students where they have teamed up with Year 1 and 2 students to use their design thinking in further developing our Nature Space.
Our senior students currently enjoy coding where they are encouraged to think critically and strategically to solve problems like moving onscreen characters.
STEM is about preparing our students for the future; providing opportunities for all students to develop skills that will allow them to be confident and successful adults who will make positive contributions to their world.
